• Enigmatic Movements is a new puzzle game. The object of the game is to move the colored tiles until each row or column has the same color. There are 2 ways of moving the tiles:
- dragging them (holding mousebutton), like in version 1.0, and
- clicking on a tile to grab it, then move it and click again to release it
You can choose the boardsize between 4x4 (piece of cake) and 10x10 (very difficult). Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to complete the board, but the real challenge is to do this in the least number of moves possible !
New in version 1.5 is the Challenge Mode : you're challenged to complete a certain board in under a maximum number of moves. If you succeed, you get points and a new (harder) challenge...
The game also keeps statistics of 10 different players, allows you to choose between different sets of tiles, plays background music from the Music folder, and lets you choose the background color...
• Enigmatic Movements should run on any Mac or compatible (68K and PowerPC native) with system 7.0 or better. If it doesn't, please let me know !!! Minimum RAM requirement is 1MB, preferred is 1800KB, when you're screen is set to millions of colors, and 1600KB for thousands of colors...
• Music : Enigmatic Movements plays the songs in the Music folder by using the MAD Library from Antoine Rosset (author of PlayerPRO - http://www.quadmation.com/pphome.htm). You can add your favorite songs in MADH, MADF-G, MOD, XM or S3M format to this folder. For other formats, you'll also have to add the corresponding plug-in (available with the PlayerPRO package). Included tracks are Psychore and The Power of Lords, both by The Psycholizer (yeps, that's me ;-)) Places where you can find good tracks:
- The Psycholizer's homepage at http://bewoner.dma.be/Psyli
- U4ia's mods at http://sw.cse.bris.ac.uk/public/u4iamods.html
- http://www.modarchive.com
On slower macs it's best to use songs with only 4 tracks (like most of U4ia), others will take too much processing time...
• Registration :
I've put a great deal of time and effort in this game, so if you like it, please consider registering it for only 15 US$! The registration code will remove the nagscreens and personalize your copy of Enigmatic Movements. You'll be able to play with the 8x8, 9x9 and 10x10 boards, and get beyond challenge 5 in the Challenge Mode! But most of all, registering will clear your conscience, and encourage me to keep writing games for your beloved mac!
